Academy Award® Nominee Diana Scarwid
Born and raised in Savannah, Diana left for New York at the age of
17 to become an actress. She enrolled at Pace University and The
American Academy of Dramatic Arts simultaneously and completed the
dual program as an honor student.
She received an Emmy nomination for her impressive performance
opposite Gary Sinise in the HBO movie Truman. For her
emotionally affecting portrayal of Louise in Richard Donner’s film
Inside Moves she received an Academy Award® Nomination for Best
Actress in a Supporting Role.
Some of her memorable and diverse roles have been Joan Crawford’s
daughter, Christina, in the controversial Mommie Dearest,
Cher’s lesbian hairdresser in Silkwood and Michelle Pfeiffer’s
spiritual friend in Robert Zemeckis’s What Lies Beneath.
In Red Thread Diana Scarwid played the bold and seductive
apartment complex manager Miss Johnson.
